June, 2013

Can you believe we are nearly halfway through the year? For those who haven’t ordered a 2013 Annual update ($129 for homes, $220 for businesses) it is not too late. Valuable information can still be provided to ensure the next 8 months (till 4 Feb 2014) will run as smoothly as possible for you.

There are essential items that everyone who is interested in maximising the Feng Shui of their home or business should equip themselves with. These items can be used year in and year out. We will always let you know where the best place is to use these items not only for the year but also for the month.

It is important to remember that your home and business is affected not only by the energy present when it was built but also by both yearly and monthly visiting energy. Unlike the energy of the building which is present over decades, the yearly and monthly energy comes and goes quickly and is therefore quite strong as it wants its presence to be felt. Accordingly we should, if possible try to harmonise this energy on a yearly and monthly basis. Below are some simple instructions on how to best harmonise the energy that is present this year and also this month up until 6 July.

A Space Clearing bell ($19.98) or tibetan singing bowl ($49.98)is great to use to combat the challenging visiting energy of the troublesome 5 star and the 2 sickness star. In 2013 these stars are located in the centre and the South West respectively. This month (until 6th July) the areas in the East and South are also under attack. Ringing the bowl in these areas in the morning and night (you can set a reminder on your phone) will really help calm this challenging energy down to minimise its effect on you.

There are two challenging forces that are located in the South East (Grand Duke) and the East (3 Killings) this year that should always be respected. The best items to place in these areas are a Dragon Tortoise ($18.98) facing South East and located in the South East and a Buddha ($3.98 - $18.98 depending on size) in the East. Keep these two items in place all year and then you can reuse in a different area next year to continue protecting your home or business from the challenging energy these two forces can bring.

This year there is visiting conflict energy in the East so placing some red here can help to harmonise this energy. A red cushion or painting will suffice. This month the conflict energy visits the North as well and is quite strong so you should also ensure there is some red placed here this month too.

For those of you looking for romance or wanting to improve their existing romance a pair of large mandarin ducks($18.98)placed in the South West will help support this endeavour.

It is always a good idea to hang a wooden calabash from each occupant’s bedhead to protect them from any sickness energy that visits through the year. At only $9.98 these are an affordable item that can really maximise the health of occupants all year.

For those of you with pesky neighbours you can always hang a small Bagua mirror ($6.98) on the outside of your home to help reflect their negative energy. A final reminder for those born in the year of the Pig, Tiger or Monkey that you should be wearing a Monkey pendant ($10 - $15) to help protect you from the Yearly Snake energy prevalent throughout 2013.

If you have already had a Feng Shui consultation please book your annual update now otherwise you can get a remote consultation which will include the analysis for 2013!

The Year of the Snake, 2013

In reference to the Chinese calendar the Chinese New Year begins on 4th February 2013 until 3rd February 2014. It should be clarified that in Feng Shui we work with the Hsia calendar or the Solar Calendar whilst Chinese New Year celebrations are based on the Lunar calendar which falls on the 10th February for 2013.

Feng Shui energies change from year to year, therefore it is necessary to watch for the re-allocation of positive and negative energies at the beginning of each year, so that we can take necessary precautions when the negative energy happens to arrive at important locations of our home and/or office or affects our Four Pillars (Chinese Astrology).

For clients who have already received a full consultation I highly recommend an annual update as you must consider your home's own Flying Star chart and the interaction between it and the annual stars.

If you are born in the year of the Pig, Tiger or Monkey or have them anywhere in your Four Pillars chart it is best to wear a Monkey Pendant for the whole of 2013. People born in the year of the Pig will anticipate more traveling, or movement such as changing jobs or moving house. It is ok to travel more and make changes such as moving house or changing your job. However, for people born in the year of the Pig it is recommended not to travel directly towards the direction of the Grand Duke, which is the south-east direction. Also for people born in year of Tiger or Monkey will suffer Three Penalty with Snake year - Such penalties will usually bring disharmony, irritation, worries and frustrations, as well as sickness, it is necessary to carry Monkey Pendant to minimize the negative effect.

For people who are born in the year of the Horse, the Snake year will bring “Flower of Romance” so one can anticipate a more sociable year with more opportunity to develop friendship with the opposite sex... People born in the year of the Pig will be into year of “Travelling Horse” and the Snake year will trigger more travelling and movement.

People born in the years of Yang Water and Yin water Heavenly stems – years ending with 2 and 3, such as 1952, 1953, 1962, 1963, 1972, 1973, 1982, 1983 etc will meet nobleman in the year of snake, this means they will encounter protective angels who will come and make everything smooth and positive. It is also generally a good year to give birth to children because all children born in 2013 will possess a nobleman in the Snake.

Annual Flying Stars for 2013

The annual stars this year are located in their original position so are quite strong and need to be looked after accordingly. The year 2013 will be one of transformation from within for many people. There will be an increased desire to be true to one's ideals and transform from the inside emotionally. It could also take the form of transforming externally - whether that be via physical transformation (diet and exercise) or the transformation of your home through renovation.

The two most important and challenging energies to be aware of and remedy are the very challenging 5 yellow, symbolizing obstacles and misfortune located in the Centre and the challenging sickness energy of the 2 in the South West. The energy of the 5 is the most negative energy of all the flying stars and you will need to use a Five Element brass pagoda in the Centre sector of the home.

The number 2 flying star represents sickness and you will need a brass calabash and/or Six Chinese coins located in the South West sector of the house for 2013. These are to aid in absorbing the negative sickness energy. Be extra careful if your main door is located in the South West sector in 2013.

The Grand Duke this year is in the South East whilst the Three Killings is located in the East, hence it is not favourable to "move earth" or make substantial construction work in these sectors. t is also not recommended for one to sit with back against East as you will be sitting against the unfavorable energy called “Three Shars” or “Three Killings”. The North West is the “Crash position” against the Grand Duke which is also not good to sit. If this is unavoidable place a Dragon Tortoise facing South East as it is said to appease the Grand Duke. The Pi Xiu can also be used for this purpose.

The positive energies of the 8 and 9 are located in the North East and the South sectors so if your front door or bedroom is located here you may find good opportunities coming your way for 2013 to improve your wealth, health and/or relationships.

It is important to remember that the annual flying stars are best to use in conjunction with the period star and the flying star of the building.

If you have already had a Feng Shui consultation please book your annual update now otherwise you can get a remote consultation which will include the analysis for 2013!

January 2013 Update

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!

We hope 2013 will bring prosperity, happiness and health to all our clients, friends and family. This month we celebrate Chinese New Year and the last month of the Chinese calendar. The changeover to the year of the Yin Water Fire Snake is almost upon us. The actual date of the changeover is 4th February 2013 so it is important that you have all your remedies in place by this date to deal with the incoming annual visiting energy.

This will be a short update as Carolyn and Liz take some time out to recharge the batteries after a very successful year for Everything Feng Shui where their new partnership was celebrated. The online shop is still operating so feel free to shop till you drop! We have some great items and services available for those who wish to improve their health, wealth and relationships using Feng Shui.

For those wanting onsite consultations there are only limited spots available in January – namely the 16th, 17th, 18th and 29th are left for these comprehensive consultations. The reports you get as part of this consultation remain valid until 2024. Remember if you book one of these you get the Annual Update for 2013 included for free (valued at $129).

No doubt most of you will have received your Annual Updates from Liz or Carolyn by now or will receive them in the near future. We cannot stress enough about the importance of ensuring you get an Annual update completed - preferably prior to the Annual changeover date of 4 February, 2013.

The energy in 2013 will be particularly strong as the flying stars are in their natural positions and as such are VERY strong. This month the area you need to be most concerned with is located in the West and South East. The South East in particular contains extremely strong challenging energy which also relates to sickness. Using a calabash, metal pagoda, salt cure, windchimes or the colour of metal (white, gold, bronze, silver etc) in this area is highly recommended. We now have pagodas back in stock for those of you who need them. Unfortunately, the metal calabashes are on back order but should arrive shortly.

The West contains challenging energy this month although the yearly energy here is quite good so it should not cause as much havoc as normal. Care should be taken in the North as there is likely to be more opportunities for sickness in this sector as well.

Stay tuned for our next blog where we will provide you with a summary of what the Year 2013 is likely to bring.

Flying Stars November 2012

Liz and Carolyn are in the midst of testing some new formulas recently brought to and taught in Australia for the first time by Master Bennis. So far, we have seen some positive results with specific placement of water features in areas outside the front door as well as on the desk. As always, we like to test formulas on ourselves and willing clients to ensure they deliver all they promise prior to providing this type of consultation to paying clients. Stay tuned for a launch of this additional service in December if all continues to go well.

You might not know this but Feng Shui energy changes every 20 year period, every year, month, day and hour. As Feng Shui consultants we help people ensure the energy of their home and /or business is supportive of them and our focus is primarily the period and annual energy. November is a time when we remind clients that their annual updates are due. These updates help ensure the smooth flow of energy in your home and business. We have hundreds of clients between us which amounts to hundreds of reports to write over the next 3 months, so to ensure you get your annual update before the changeover of Annual year energy on 4 February 2013, you need to book in for your Annual Update this November or December. At only $129 this service is highly recommended to ensure a healthy, wealthy and positive relationship filled year in 2013.

If you are yet to have a consultation then if you book in for a full consultation with either Carolyn or alternatively purchase a Remote Consultation you will get the Annual Update for 2013 included FREE.

As it would be too time consuming for us and expensive for clients to look after the monthly and daily energy, each month we post a blog advising you on how best to deal with the current monthly energy. This often just involves a few minor tweaks to ensure the Feng Shui of your home or business is in tip top shape.

October was a very challenging month due to the annual energy being reinforced by the monthly energy so it was a particularly challenging month. This was also due to the fact that the dog month clashed with the dragon year. Thankfully November is much smoother although there is some risk of flooding due to the water of the month reinforcing the water in the Year of the Water Dragon. The Earth of the Dragon may find it difficult to fully control the water contained in both the year and the month in November hence flooding can result.

The month energy changes on 7th November and lasts until 6th December 2012. The following recommendations should be put in place to further support the Feng Shui of your home or business.

If your front door is located in the South West, East or West then you should take particular notice of the advice below as your house is more likely to be affected by these visiting challenging energies.

Each month the most challenging energy is the 5 catastrophe and 2 sickness stars. These need to be dealt with appropriately to minimise their negative effect on you. The 5 is in the centre this month so this can create an unsettling feeling from within one's own self as well as their home. Avoid renovating in the centre of your home this month as you are likely to find obstacles and challenges if you do. Placing metal bells or ringing a space clearing bell morning and night will greatly help minimise the challenging negative located in the centre of your home.

The 2 sickness star visits the South West which is the position of the mother specifically and the family and relationships generally. Be mindful of this and mothers should take special care of their health this month. Your relationship also will need some tender loving care as the energy visiting is not at all supportive. To help remedy again you can use either the space clearing bell, metal bells or if you prefer you can use metal calabash to help harmonise this sickness energy located here.

The conflict star is located in the East so this can help support arguments and legal issues occurring. To remedy you just need to add some red that is noticeable. No need to go over the top, just a table runner or cushion or rug will suffice.

The West is visited by energy which hinders good communication. To remedy a vase of fresh flowers or 4 sticks of lucky bamboo will work well.

There is some lovely energy visiting the South East, North and North West in November however to harness it these areas must be kept clear of clutter and full of beautiful forms.

Finally the optimum areas in November are located in the North East and the South. Keep these areas as Active as possible. You will find increased opportunities will flow towards you if you have your bedroom or front door located in these sectors.

It is important to remember that the monthly and annual flying stars are best to use in conjunction with the period star and the flying star of the building.

Flying Stars October 2012

Feng Shui energies change from year to year, month to month and day to day although please don't send yourself crazy worrying about the daily ones. I personally focus on the annual ones and then take a look at the monthly ones to see what may be triggered that particular month.

As of the 7th October the monthly energies move to their new sectors. Below are some of the effects you may experience in the different areas of your home however it should be remembered that I am not aware of your homes natal chart which is the most potent. If you don't know your homes Flying Star Chart then I highly recommend a remote consultation if you are after something cost effective that works!

In 2012 the two most important and challenging energies to be aware of and remedy are the very challenging 5 yellow, symbolizing obstacles and misfortune located in the South East and the challenging sickness energy of the 2 in the North. The energy of the 5 is the most negative energy of all the flying stars and you will need to use a metal wind chime in the South East sector of the garden and metal bellsin the North sector of your home. Hang them on a door or drawer that is used regularly to help suppress this negative energy and avoid the colour red in the South East and the North sectors.

As of the 7th October the monthly stars are the same as the annual stars so therefore the energies may well be more prosperous in some areas and negtaive in others. The number 4 flying star flies into the East and this can signify issues with romance if the forms in and around this area are messy and cluttered. Great time to have a spring clean!

The number 2 flying star represents sickness and you will need a brass calabash and/or Six Chinese coins located in the North sector of the house for 2012 and also for October.

The 3 star in the South West signifies an increase in conflict and arguments, in addition to legal issues. Place red in the South West for October - this could be a red rug, picture or accessory however should be noticed upon entering the room.

Communication issues and problems with the mouth are enhanced in the North West for October so placing some chinese lucky bamboo in a glass vase filled with water will do the trick!

The centre of the home can signify legal issues or problems with authorities : especially if there is clutter and mess in the area. If so get clearing! Be careful of parking fines this month too! Once again 3 sticks of Chinese Lucky Bamboo in a glass vase filled with plain water will work really well in harmonising the energy.

The South sector can indicate good relationships however do ensure it is free of clutter and mess.

The West and North East are great areas in October so if they are located in your bedroom or front door then ENJOY!

Chinese Astrology for October

October is the month of Yang Metal sitting on top of the Dog so if you have the elements of Yang Wood or the Dragon in your chart it may signify turbulence, such as changing jobs, travelling, moving house and sometimes even accidents.

Don't be alarmed, just be forewarned - a pendant of a Rabbit can be worn to attract away the dog. Remember knowledge is power.

It is important to remember that the monthly and annual flying stars are best to use in conjunction with the period star and the flying star of the building.
