The Lunar Year of the Rabbit commenced on the 22nd January 2023 and came into full effect on February 4th 2023.

2020 and 2021 contained a lot of metal and water elements which relate to fear and worry. The first half of 2023 is related to water so more worry around covid and its variants are likely to be present however things are starting to improve especially when the Rabbit (wood energy) comes in the second half of the year.

This is a year of opportunities but also temptations. There are likely to be innovative breakthroughs. This is the year to lay solid foundations for any big plans you have. Remember having a solid foundation is key to success. This is the year before the Period change from Age 8 to Age 9. It will be a year that is smoother so take the opportunity to reflect, improve and educate yourself.

Yin Water rules the first half of the year so water is not as strong compared to 2022, it has a gentler feel to it – like the water in a babbling brook rather than a powerful ocean or fast flowing river. Last year there was a lot of flooding due to the Yang water energy, this year it is not as likely to occur as the water energy is weaker.

The Rabbit combines with the Goat/Sheep and Pig bringing more wood energy into the world. Issues around recycling, preserving the environment, planting trees etc will be more evident particularly in the Goat/Sheep (July) and Pig (November) months. More issues with limbs and back pain are likely this year along with the liver and gall bladder are aspects of your health you need to be mindful of this year.

The energy of the wood element is a rising energy. Wood element represents spring, a time of new beginnings, sudden growth, vision, rapid expansion, surging and uplifting. It is the energy of generating things. More kindness is likely in 2023.

Each year the annual energy shakes things up a bit and it is important we ensure our homes and businesses are ready.

Remember there is positive and negative energy visiting. The most important thing to do is harmonise any negative energy so it does not affect you as much.

This year we have sickness energy visiting the East of all buildings so having a 6 rod metal windchime outside in this area helps to harmonise it before it hits your home and business. A brass calabash is also helpful inside especially if your main entry, bedroom or living area is located in the South West. If you have a regularly used door in the East then hanging 6 metal bells from it also assists calm this sickness energy down.

In the North West of every building the misfortune energy is visiting so having a brass pagoda here helps to protect you. A brass pagoda is also helpful inside especially if your main entry, bedroom or living area is located in the North West. If you have a regularly used door in the North West then hanging 6 metal bells from it also assists calm this problematic energy down.

It is also important to avoid red in these 2 areas as this will only make the challenging energy stronger. Instead, use metal or wood items and colours like white, silver, gold, greens and light blues.
